Cleaves is a tiny but charming cafe and deli tucked away in Port Isaac — and it’s an absolute must-visit. The space may be small, but what it lacks in size, it makes up for in quality and character.
They offer a special sandwich each day, and the one we tried — ham, Brie, pear chutney, and lettuce — was nothing short of outstanding. The flavors were perfectly balanced, with the sweetness of the chutney complementing the richness of the Brie and the saltiness of the ham. You can tell everything is made with care and attention to detail.
And the coffee? Hands down the best I’ve had in a long time — smooth, rich, and expertly made.
If you’re in Port Isaac, don’t miss Cleaves. It’s a lovely little spot that delivers big on flavor.- Service

Very kinda words thanks Tanya. Glad you enjoyed your visit.
Great little coffee shop – we visited mornings while staying locally in September. They have a selection of cakes, pastries, sandwiches and deli products. Really friendly service, plus it’s right on the seafront, so you can perch and enjoy the views with a takeaway cup.

Thanks Stevie. Great to meet you guys. See you again soon.
The best coffee I had in Port Issac. Beautiful little shop which serves top notch espresso from Yallah, and has a daily assortment of delicious baked goods and other food. Grab a sausage roll if they have any left!

Great coffee, had 1 everyday during a week in port Isaac. Pastry and sandwiches are delicious, best sausage roll in Cornwall. We grabbed a few for the long drive home. Staff are friendly and chill will be going again!

Cleave’s coffee shop / deli in Port Issac was amazing!!! Three of us stayed in the village for several day and went to this shop daily for coffee and breakfast treats…. All items were homemade and delicious!!! We highly recommend… The young gentleman (Young Mr Cleaves) was so welcoming every time…. When you go in, ask him about his Dad 🎼. Sincerely, The Traveling Trio from New Hampshire, USA ❤️

Kind words. Thanks Ed. See you next time pal
We tried a few coffee places while we were in Port Isaac and this is the only one I'd recommend. Local coffee from the incredible Yallah coffee a local roastery in Cornwall. The owner is incredibly friendly and has create a casual and chill vibe with him seeming to chat to everyone. Serving freshly baked pastries and incredible sausage rolls. A perfect place to grab a coffee, a treat and watch the waves lap in.

Great coffee and the pastries are fantastic. Baked across the rd and as good as anywhere I’ve had. The sandwiches are also delicious and very high quality. Jake the owner was so welcoming and warm as a bonus. Really couldn’t have found anywhere better.- Food
